Where can I find more information?
Detailed information about the inner ear, laser therapy, the home laser, and the treatment process can be found on our website. If you would like a personal and free assessment, you are welcome to send us your audiogram via email. We will provide you with individual and non-binding advice.
Is the therapy with the Dr. Wilden home laser free of side effects?
Based on our many years of experience, the therapy is very well tolerated by users. We are not aware of any undesirable side effects. Many users report a pleasant and relaxing feeling during the irradiation as early as the first few applications.
What actually is a laser?
The word “laser” stands for “Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation”. To put it simply, a laser focuses light in a similar way to how a hose focuses a stream of water. Depending on the field of application, there are different types of lasers. The Dr. Wilden home laser is a therapeutic, biostimulative, and non-invasive laser specifically developed for application in the inner ear area.
Can I measure the success of the therapy?
Yes. Many users already notice the first changes in their hearing after four to six weeks. Objectively, this progress can be documented through hearing tests and compared with previous audiograms.
I actually hear well, yet I’ve had tinnitus for years. How is that possible?
In our experience, tinnitus often originates in the most heavily strained areas of the cochlea – usually in the high-frequency range. Even if you still hear well in everyday life, changes may already be present there that initially go unnoticed. Many people only become consciously aware of the hearing loss once it becomes more pronounced. If you would like to better understand your audiogram, you are welcome to send it to us for a free assessment.
Why do you recommend protecting ears from loud everyday noises as well?
Any reduction in strain can help preserve stressed auditory cells. Many individuals report that after a short adjustment period, they feel significantly more comfortable in everyday life using ear protection, and their ears feel less strained.
What is considered loud?
Below you will find a noise level chart. The color-coded display shows you exactly from what point you should definitively protect your ears!

My tinnitus is initially perceived more clearly with ear protection. Is that normal?
Yes, many affected individuals report this. When ambient noise is reduced, the pre-existing tinnitus often moves into the foreground and is perceived more consciously. This does not necessarily mean that it has actually become louder. In our experience, the tinnitus can change temporarily during home therapy. However, as the treatment progresses, many users report that it becomes finer, less bothersome, and significantly weaker over time.
Can home laser therapy also help with dizziness or Menière’s disease?
The vestibular system (balance organ) and the auditory organ are both located in the inner ear and are closely interconnected. Therefore, based on our experience, home laser therapy can be used as a supportive measure not only for hearing problems and tinnitus, but also for dizziness and Menière’s disease. If you have any questions about this or would like to discuss your individual situation, we will be happy to advise you personally and free of charge.
