Dr. Wilden home laser therapy

Low level Laser Therapy (also called Photobiomodulation Therapy, PBMT)

for treatment at home of inner ear problems like tinnitus, hearing loss, hyperacusis and dizziness.
Works very well for illnesses such as sudden hearing loss, Meniere’s disease, but also for other physical complaints
(see here)
Photobiomodulation (PBM) can act on the inner ear by stimulating the mitochondria of the hearing cells. Irradiation with red or near-infrared laser light can:
  • Cell energy production (ATP) is increased → better regeneration of hearing cells and balance cells
  • Blood circulation is promoted → more oxygen & nutrients for damaged cells
  • Inflammation and oxidative stress are reduced → protection against further cell degradation.
PBM can therefore help to regenerate hearing cells and have a positive effect on tinnitus or hearing loss.

Laser Therapy Offers a Simple, Affordable Approach to Health Care

For more than 50 years, Low Level Laser Light has proven to be a therapeutic medium. The Hungarian surgeon Dr. Endrè Mester (1903–1984) noticed improved wound healing of wounds that had been difficult to cure, and since that time, Laser Therapy has been constantly progressing world-wide.

New: Dr. Wilden at the 2026 Tinnitus Congress

An interview with Dr. Lutz Wilden quickly reveals that his path to inner-ear laser therapy was not a strategically planned career move, but rather stemmed from a sense of professional frustration. Dr. Wilden began his career as a general practitioner. In this role, he frequently encountered patients with tinnitus whom he referred to ENT specialists. He was struck by the fact that these patients often returned with their condition unchanged. There was no effective therapy—often not even a concrete treatment approach. Dr. Wilden found this difficult to accept; he remained preoccupied with the question of why there were virtually no therapeutic options available for a symptom as distressing as tinnitus.
